My fellow denizen of the Empire Dagh Nielson got his own Clue Bat(tm) today, and al-Guardian had a good excuse to try it out. Hurrah!

Like the Blogfather, I just saw The Two Towers. My quickie review: it does indeed vary from the books a bit more than the first movie, but the effects are much more “seamless”, and the cinematography remains gorgeous. Great foley/audio too, and the score’s terrific. Nothing I say is gonna make anyone go or not go, but I loved it.

  • Laurence Simon takes the “InfoCom” vs “Infocom” dichotomy and runs with it. Hilarity that Muslims will no doubt find offensive ensues.

TerrorHost: A Texas ISP named InfoCom (no relation to the old adventure game company) is a hub of Islamist terror. Interestingly they were previously raided by the FBI on September 10, 2001…

Lileks got the Norwalk Virus (it’s apparently all over Minneapolis/St. Paul now) and had a dream/hallucination about LGF. That’s when you know you read too many blogs.

Susanna Cornett has gone off her meds and is now channeling the spirits of other blogs. That’s right, she picks a news item and then writes what she thinks some other blogs would write about it. The scary part? It’s pretty accurate.

Fear: she’s doing it again, this time imitating Laurence Simon among others. Beware.
