Good luck to pilot Mike Melville, who in about 15 minutes (9:30 AM EST) will attempt to become the first human in space without spending any tax money. (That site’s likely to be uber slow even on fast connections today, you’ve been warned).

UPDATE: Mike just landed safely, and early indications are that he made it all the way into space.
