My husband never gave me presents for giving birth, and he never gives anything for Mother’s Day either, since I’m “not his mother”. He didn’t give her anything for Mother’s Day either! I think this is just another plot by jewelers to get through the lagging economy. My husband of course would never succumb to any ad, and no doubt there are plenty of other men who feel the same. If women get a present for having a baby, then they should give their husbands a present for making it possible! Or they could both take a deep breath, and enjoy the miracle of life and creation that God has given them.
