  • The plot thickens

An openly gay Republican Rep. from Arizona reported Foley “years ago” to the head of the page program (but not to e.g. Hastert). Plus, a Democratic operative was shopping around the Foley story back in May. No wonder Pelosi backed off from the whole “Hastert must go, he knew in advance” thing.

  • Now the shame is complete

The DNC’s home page not only shows a crowd of people apparently cheering a Canadian soldier (oops), the crowd is a stock photograph. So much for their “support”.

  • More Arizona memorial outrage

They originally wanted to include eulogies for the 19 terrorists and a notice that we deserved it because we support Israel. No, really.

And if you need more outrage about this, well, Misha’s your man.

  • Catch-up

If you missed last week’s premiere of Friday Night Lights, get caught up with the TWoP recap. They had me when the QB’s girlfriend got mad because he was talking to another girl and he adopted a Bill Clinton drawl and said “Hillary, I did *not* have sex with that woman!” (complete with finger-pointing). (Well, OK, if it was half as good as the movie they would’ve had me anyway, but it actually comes close to outdoing it – Kyle Chandler from Early Edition is a much better coach than Billy Bob).

If you’re going to tresspass on Paul McCartney’s property, don’t post video on the Internet.

(The video is right here, incidentally).

Bonus video: the second half of the Abbey Road medley with McCartney on vocals and piano, Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton on guitar, Phil Collins on drums, and a full orchestra conducted by Sir George Martin.
