Inoperable Terran

Irony is the enemy of the post-modern left(tm)

Ouch

Now it comes out that CBS was told ahead of time that the documents were likely fake but they ran it anyway. Self-inflicted it is then.

  • Good stuff all around

Today’s Best of the Web is especially good, with plenty of snark about Rather, Kerry, the Clintons, and other amusing targets.

Here’s a hilarious story on the ongoing unravelling of Rather. Plus, the guys from Powerline will be appearing on both Special Report with Brit Hume and CNN’s Paula Zahn show tonight.

Fox’s latest shenanigans with Eliza Dushku’s Tru Calling series will seem rather familiar to Firefly fans. (TC was expected to improve quite a bit this season due to the addition of fan-favorite Buffy writer Jane Espenson).

  • You can’t avoid it

Long-time typography expert and confirmed Kerry voter Joseph Newcomer appeared on Cam Edwards’ show (NRA Radio) yesterday (I actually heard it live on the computer). He said the documents were so obviously fake it was a “roll-on-the-floor laughing situation“. Meanwhile it seems internal pressure at CBS is building to just blame the whole thing on Rather and fire him. How’s that frequency now, Kenneth?

UPDATE: The NY Post and others turn the screws.
