Jacques Derrida, one of the founders of post-modernism, died. Scott Ott has the appropriate obit.

It’s IMW’s second Presidential debate. It’s a lot more entertaining than the real one.

  • CBS and producer Mary Mapes are still pursing the Bush National Guard story and apparently hope to air another version of it before the election. You have got to be kidding me.

The Afghan elections went great – even the EUros say they were free and fair. Better still, the threatened al-Q/Taliban “disruptions” resulted mainly in al-Q and Taliban supporters taking the dirt nap (sand nap?). Read it all here.

Note to Kerry’s handlers: keeping him away from sports was maybe a little too specific. Just keep him away from cameras, period.

  • Parker & Stone: F**k Yeah!

Just got back from the sneak preview screening of Team America. In terms of raw laughs per minute it’s easily the funniest movie I’ve ever seen. Here’s a scene: Michael Moore, taking up half the screen, with both hands stuffed full of hot dogs and mustard drizzling down his chin and shirt, screaming random socialist crap and attempting to do a dance. Brilliant! Persons who are easily offended should beware, but everyone else (even Kerry voters) will have a great time.

UPDATE: Sean Penn is angry. Very angry.
