Inoperable Terran

Irony is the enemy of the post-modern left(tm)

Well, of course

A German academic (is there any other kind?) thinks Europe should just surrender to Islam already.

  • Not just CNN

al-Jazeera was in cahoots with Saddam too. This is a special treat, since it means a new statement from delightfully named al-Jizz spokescreature “Jihad Ballout”.

Unsurprisingly the UN and other NGOs aren’t exactly helping in areas where they’re supposed to.

  • Spam prevention

I used mass-edit mode to delete all the drug/poker/sex/etc spam comments I could find, and I tuned up Spaminator to have a longer “tar pit” delay. Additionally I disabled the WP built-in spam detector which is mostly useless – it seems to think DANEgerus somehow matches “Viagra”. No comment :)

Also I removed some permalinks that no longer work – anyone know what happened to Ken the StarBanker? His domain’s not even registered now.

  • Interesting

Is EUrope now ready to surrender to the Bushitler™? That’s one interesting theory. Putin’s neo-Iron Curtain asperations are to blame, not surprisingly.

Ok, this makes more sense regarding the “lasers aimed at planes” thing.

  • There are more votes counted than registered voters in King County. Handily, all those “extra” votes were for the Donk. More proof of Hugh Hewitt’s “If it’s not close, they can’t cheat”…

Tim Blair has more on those who would politicize it.

At this writing, alone has collected over $11 million. Claims of stinginess are clearly overblown.

However, just to be clear, if you haven’t given yet, you still should in spite of the large donations from others. If for some reason you’d rather not give directly to the Red Cross or one of the other organizations collecting, I’ll note that Israel’s ambulance service Magen David Adom is also collecting for the victims, so you can donate both to the earthquake victims and to help Israelis hurt in Islamic terror attacks.

As an aside, remember when Allah (link currently dead) posted stuff instead of just snarking about how superior he is to those of us that do? That was cool.

Edit: Misha and Laurence Simon get the tag-team action going.

After being searched at the border coming back from a religious conference in Canada. CAIR is of course right there demanding an investigation, pointing out that this should be disturbing to all Americans who value religious freedom. It is, to some extent, but not being a member of a religion that has caused thousands upon thousands of deaths/executions/beheadings in the past few years alone tends to prevent me from getting fingerprinted as I return to America. So it follows, I suppose, that I am strangely comfortable with the idea of certain people being searched.
