Here’s an amusing piece on people refusing to call CDs “records” even though it’s always been short for “recording” and has nothing to do with any specific media.

Ace is totally on the jazz today. Just go read everything.

(Donks and people who preferred Bush 41’s economic policy (raise taxes) may want to avoid this post however).

  • Big roundup

Glenn has everything and more about London, including (if you follow some links) hints that Netanyahu may have been the intended target (he’s in London and was supposed to give a speech near one of the bombs, but he changed his plans after Scotland Yard warned him).

ASS FACT-CHECKED: Ok, it seems that moonbats made up the bit about Netanyahu – he really is in London, but the Israelis neither gave nor recieved any advance warning of the bombings.

A 15-year old boy in New York was stabbed to death for his iPod and shoes, and his parents got a condolence call from Steve Jobs. (Boy, is he old-looking in that picture too).

Bernard Goldberg has a new book out listing the top 100 people who are “screwing up America”. Captain Ed has a full and essentially spoiler-free review. I gotta wonder if Al Franken’s a big enough name to deserve a swipe in the title though – I mean, have you seen Error America’s ratings?

Episode III, translated into Chinese and then back to English. With the expected results.

Best mistranslation: “Jedi Council” is consistently rendered as “Presbyterian Church”.
