Irony is the enemy of the post-modern left(tm)

Why there?

Some answers on why al-Q’s atrocities are unreported while made-up ones are NYT front page and top story on CNN/CBS/ABC/NBC.

  • In Arizona there are now tough new penalties against hiring illegals. (Although I think the Democrats went along because it’s another hassle for businesses).

“Diverse group allegedly in British plot”. Uhh, I know the common denominator!

  • Great moments in journalism

CNN got some experts to try and demonstrate a real working car bomb, but instead they got a Glascow-style dud. Despite the obviousness of it’s failure, they try and play it up as successful.

Entertainment fans, St. Cindy is back and she’s going to march across the South to protest Scooter Libby not going to jail. Or something.

  • Indeed

Ace discusses what he learned from Fox News, then tries switching to CNN, and then projectile vomits.

Interesting note in the comments: a Saudi prince bought 20% of News Corp. in September of 2005, which corresponds alarmingly well to the beginning of FNC’s dumbing-down. (And there’s at least one instance where they pulled a story about the French riots after the Saudis complained). But don’t smirk too much – the same Saudi prince also owns stakes in Disney (ABC), Universal (NBC), and Time Warner (CNN). (As someone noted, “I guess CBS was liberal enough for them already”).

  • The “C” Team

It’s clear the would-be terrorists not currently in the Middle East tend to be not real smart: some more were arrested today in the UK after attempting to accept delivery of a bunch of gas canisters.

Another suspect in the UK bombings was caught in Australia, presumably on his way back to “Asia”. And he’s *also* a doctor.

  • Is one of them Peter Davison?

Of the 7 UK bombers, 5 are doctors. Someone could make one heck of a rebuttal to Mike al-Moore’s latest with that stat.
