Anna thinks today’s AoD could kick the WW2 model’s ass. I agree, and not just because I have an immediate family member in the current model. People today are bigger, stronger, and have much cooler toys. Also, we invented the NFL. Everyone else watches “soccer”, which involves small androgynous men running around in short shorts.

Even without the Arsenal of Democracy(tm) involved, is there really any doubt?

New evidence indicates that it was warmer during the Middle Ages. Certainly global warming is a tough sell on a day like today, when baseball games are being called on account of a blizzard.

Lots of people, including some of the writers of the Simpsons, are not amused that “cheese-eating surrender monkey” is being used “for evil” by political commentators. Includes a hilarious series of quotes from a history professor (of course) claiming that there’s nothing wrong with France’s surrender in WW2, and besides we didn’t liberate them, “mostly”. Uhhhhh, what?

You thought the whole “freedom fries” thing was ridiculous? Meet Germans who are speaking French to protest the war. I’m laughing too hard to offer any further commentary.

I was just reminded of one of my favorite quotes of the year:
“So, in conclusion, who should solve the North Korean problem? How about any country but us? France, you’ve got a lot of opinions. Go over there. You’ll love North Korea, it’s completely devoid of Jews. Come on France, less talk, more rock.”

It’s nice to know that somethings never change. ReportersNotebook.com for example, where every attempt at intelligent discourse on their message board is met with anti-semitism, homophobia, and tin-foil hat worthy replies. An acceptable reply to any post that questions them is ‘Dirty J-E-W! F-A-G-G-O-T IDF lover!’. It would be comical if it weren’t so sad.
