Inoperable Terran

Irony is the enemy of the post-modern left(tm)

The implication, of course…

Here’s a great clip of Dennis Miller’s recent appearance on Jon Stewart’s show where he was asked if he had to be gay, would he pick Hannity or Colmes? 5000x drink alert.

  • Up and coming?

In the not-yet-joined battle of the Saturday Night Live-based comedy/dramas, Studio 60 is losing 20% of it’s audience per week because Aaron Sorkin developed a fixation with Christians being out to get him and forgot to be funny. Tina Fey’s 30 Rock might be the antidote – here’s a 5-minute clip from the pilot. Yes, it’s Alec Baldwin, but I kinda like the dialogue.

Muslims in Sweden are seething and whining because the newly-appointed integraton minister, a rather good-looking black woman, wants to pass a law banning honor killings and to have girls screened for female genital mutilation.

  • Whee

A London art gallery pulled parts of a show prior to opening for fear of offending Muslims. (The content, btw, is all purely sexual, nothing Mohammed-related).

  • The latest bizzare developments

Now the page involved has hired a lawyer and says the IMs were initiated by him, apparently to gay-bait Rep. Foley and show to other pages (one of whom apparently leaked it to the DNC). This doesn’t make Foley less skeezy since he still went along with it, but it does rather abruptly let Hastert off the hook.
