Inoperable Terran

Irony is the enemy of the post-modern left(tm)

My final pick

Steelers, probably by less than 10. This is a tough game to call, but finally one of the teams mooned the football gods, and that team is Seattle, who already have their victory parade planned out including speakers and entertainment.

ETA: Drat. Steelers by 11. I was *close* though 🙂

What’s the solution to cartoon-induced dhimmitude? Why another cartoon of course.

  • Amid talk of economic sanctions against Iran, the mullahs are now threatening to cut off all trade with countries that allow cartoons of Mohammed. Which, uhh, would have the same effect as sanctions.

  • Backlash.

Some interesting stuff out of Europe. It figures that Real Important World Events wouldn’t wake up EUrope about the dangers of dhimmitude, but a protest over some cartoons would.

  • Burnination

Jeff has a really good breakdown of where everyone’s trying to steer the whole “drawing Muhammed” thing, including news that a Danish right-wing party was staging a mass Koran-burning.

  • Good news!

The Koran can be used if you’re having trouble with your charcoal grill. Misha’s got a picture.

  • Fight the real enemy

One need not be Damon to see the horror of the Army’s miscalculation with Michael Yon. NOTE: As per the last panel of DBD, this situation has now been resolved. Ergo, Damon is more powerful than the US Army.

  • Irony, etc.

Islamic demonstrators continue to invoke mass irony. Put another way, here’s an LGF Photoshop that makes the point even more clearly.

The alleged source of the leak to the New York Times regarding the wiretapping? Senator Jay Rockefeller (D, WV).

  • This cartoon is pretty funny. I think it’s intended to make fun of the President, but it fails at that mission 🙂
