Arafat’s condition sharply deteriorated. But don’t worry, he’s in a French hospital now.

In related news, Le Monde is is horrified that Americans aren’t post-modern surrender weasels.

And I’ll bet they really hate this. Nancy Pelosi sure does.

…no, not Terry McAuliffe (he’s a Clintonista, he will survive). The “mainstream” media. Glenn argues that they couldn’t deliver Evan Thomas’ infamous 15 points. Rush Limbaugh today on the radio (in extremely rare form – hope folks heard it) said that the media *had* given Kerry a 15 point boost, which is even funnier.

UPDATE: Hud agrees with the Godfather. (That’s what Neal Boortz calls Limbaugh).

Clark County, OH, which went for Gore in 2000 and was targetted by al-Guardian’s infamous letter-writing campaign, solidly went for Bush. Tim Blair should get a medal.

Despite all the registrations that “Vote or Die” and other efforts kicked up, the percentage of 18-24s voting this year was identical to 2000.

  • BTW

Bush has broken the all-time popular vote record for President set by Reagan. Many old saws broke their teeth last night, including that high turnout means a guaranteed Donk cakewalk.

  • No “selected”

The President is the winner, of both the popular and electoral votes. Kerry’s refusing to concede, but GWB is expected to claim victory later this morning. (Incidentally, it’s midterm for Kerry so he doesn’t lose his Senate job. Edwards isn’t so lucky).

Other fun stuff: Tom Daschle is definitely gone, and it looks like Cuban-American Mel Martinez has beaten pro-Hamas academic Betty Castor in Florida, although that one’s very close and will likely be recounted.
