Inoperable Terran

Irony is the enemy of the post-modern left(tm)

This time it’s guaranteed

The Donks’ platform for this fall seems to be coalesing around “vote for us and we’ll impeach Bush“. Uhh, thanks guys, I needed a reason to vote this year and that works.

Mark Steyn doesn’t like Congress’ meddling in the port deal. Especially since the Saudis run Houston and the ChiComs run most of California and nobody’s blinking.

  • There’s intense new rioting in France, but this time by the actual French people after a government plan to make it possible to run normal capitalist businesses there where you can fire people for incompetance and such.

As a percentage of GDP, both taxes and Federal spending are substantially lower now than they were in the late 80s under Reagan. So apparently Bush isn’t exactly the big spender he’s accused of being.

Comedy Central was supposed to rerun the Scientology South Park this week but as you may know they didn’t. What happened is that Tom Cruise threatened to not do any promo appearances for Mission Impossible 3 if they aired the ep again (Paramount, the MI3 studio, and Comedy Central are both owned by Viacom). Paramount also tried to make Parker and Stone not discuss the matter, but they failed there.

Rolling Stone has a surprisingly good story on the religion itself.

    The MSM’s been caught again.

Update: it’s unclear if the AP actually did the altering or if someone at Ha’aretz did. Regardless, my headline is funny and I’m not changing it.
